AGL joins forces with FLYING WHALES in Africa for freight mobility.
AGL and FLYING WHALES have signed a strategic agreement to explore the opportunities made possible by the airship freight transport solution.
AGL is the leading logistics network in Africa covering 49 countries on the continent and a member of the MSC Group, a top-ranked company for international trade.
“We offer our customers in Africa and around the world comprehensive, tailor-made and cutting-edge logistics solutions. Our commitment to sustainability with our customers is reflected in our selection of high value-added solutions on the continent, accompanying its growth and transformation. This partnership with FLYING WHALES is fully in line with this strategy,” says Nicolas Dupart, AGL’s Africa Projects Director.
AGL, a leading multimodal player (port, maritime, logistics and rail), will thus be using a new mode of transport to meet the continent’s logistics challenges.
“FLYING WHALES is preparing to launch the 1st air transport network using its high-capacity LCA60T airships, to improve connectivity and logistics on the African continent. These air services can be associated with all customer sites and link ports, dry ports, logistics platforms and special economic zones”, continues Michèle Renaud, Sales, Marketing & Communications Director.
