FLYING WHALES QUEBEC: final step in the site selection process for the final assembly plant (FAL)

On a visit to Quebec, Vincent Guibout (CEO of FLYING WHALES and President of FLYING WHALES QUEBEC) and Arnaud Thioulouse (CEO of FLYING WHALES QUEBEC) met representatives of the two sites in line to host the LCA60T final assembly plant (FAL): Mayor Jean Lamarche and his teams for the Trois Rivières site, Cookshire Eaton Mayor Mario Gendron and Mayor Évelyne Beaudin and their teams for the Sherbrooke site.

These meetings were followed by several meetings with key actors in the construction industry such as Pomerleau, EBC inc. and WSP to discuss both the plant’s construction needs and the contribution that the airship will make to their own developments and projects, particularly in the mining and wind power sectors.

The visit also provided an opportunity to present the FLYING WHALES project in Ottawa to Philip Jennings, who was appointed Deputy Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISDE) last November, in the presence of Charles Vincent, Senior Assistant Deputy Minister for Industry.

Leaderships meetings were also organised with Pratt & Whitney Canada and Thales Canada, two major partners in the industrial consortium developing the LCA60T programme.

The visit ended with a press meeting with The Canadian Press and convivial moments with the fantastic team from FLYING WHALES QUÉBEC.

The final choice of site for the FAL is due to be officially announced in the first half of this year.
