FLYING WHALES strengthens its ties with Ivory Coast at a seminar in Abidjan
🤝 On February 14, 2025, during a seminar held in Abidjan in the presence of Ivorian Transport Minister Amadou kone and French Ambassador H.E. Jean-Christophe Belliard, FLYING WHALES took another step forward in deploying an airship-based transport network in Côte d’Ivoire.
Co-chaired by Tanguy Lestienne, General Manager of FLYING WHALES SERVICES, and Mr. Dioman Cone, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Transport, the workshops brought together several Ivorian ministries, local companies, and experts from various sectors prioritized by the Ivorian government.
The project is part of an innovative and sustainable approach, providing optimal air connectivity between the country’s urban and rural areas while offering new commercial and environmental opportunities on a regional scale.
🛫 The Ivorian government and FLYING WHALES are now working towards signing a public-private partnership for the design and implementation of the project. The objective is to establish the first FLYING WHALES pilot project in Africa, with Ivory Coast hosting the continent’s first airship base, positioning the country as a pioneer in the development of airship networks in Africa.
